Random Weather

Took some random weather shots today. Trying to get some shots of their own...

And a weird place to find a clothes hanger

Three Hoods

A photo request I had the other day was titled, "Three Hoods." So I walked around a lot getting to meet people from the three hoods we were doing a story on.

Bunnies, Batman, and Aaron Paul

Here are some of my favorites from the past few weeks at The Dallas Morning News. I went to the stock show and rodeo, including a rabbit show and chuck wagon races...

These guys were from Canada but enjoyed turning one of the horse stalls into a beer haven once they were finished racing.

She won. Twenty years of rabbit showing and she won. It's cool when people get emotional about stuff that they care about.

Fluffing up Comit for the Best in Show.

And then there was the father daughter dance...

And a hockey game...

A play rehearsal for special needs adults where the actors get to pick their own parts and then the director will write a play to include all of the characters people want to play. So if you want to be a tourist and your husband wants to be a kangaroo, you get to do it. And that's what these two got to do...

...their anniversary (4 years) is the same amount of time that they've been acting together in the company too. And if you want to sing in the lobby to your favorite Disney musical then you should do it. And sing loudly so others can join in...

and another from backstage.

And then there was Aaron Paul being all cool and excited as his new movie premiered at a local theater.

Motion blur gave him that claw. And there were these two brothers, Brian and Nick Bravo. Both were in the same accident in 2005 that left Brian paralyzed and killed their mother, uncle and sister. His school includes him in every basketball game and the team has been working to rebuild his uncle's house to make it more wheelchair accessible. That's helping out.

And then I went to Dallas Comic Con and Sci-Fi Expo. WHICH WAS AWESOME. I realized that I'm more of a nerd than I thought. Props to everyone who dressed up, and took months creating their costumes. Decided to do a short portrait series with as many as I could get. Let's start with the Klingon family...

Shout out to my favorite of the night...OLD GREGG!

Its hard to step back and take in things when you run around at top speed all day. Pictures are a good way to do it for me. Can't wait to see who I get to meet next week.
